The Hundredths mega-containership in Rotterdam

Thursday afternoon the Evelyn Maersk entered as the hundredths ultra large container carrier (ulcc) of 2010 the port of Rotterdam. The first ulcc, container ships whit more than 10,000 teu entered the port of Rotterdam three years ago. Now such vessels enters Rotterdam daily.

Israel lifts blockade Gaza

The new policy is a promise after international intervention on abolition of the meanwhile four years lasting Israeli blockade of the impoverished Palestinian area. The pressure increased considerably after the Israeli army grappled an international aid fleet to Gaza on 31 May, where the soldiers killed nine pro-Palestine activists.
