The economic situation barometer of Danske bank for the transport, the so-called European Freight Forwarding index, has incurred in April to a record altitude. The index reached a value of 78, three points more than one month before.

More new capacity for more cargo. The shipyards produce more container ships. In the first trimester it concerned 70 new entities with a common capacity of 307,000 teu. This month 150,000 new slots are added. According to the French database AXS-Alphaliner this is the highest number since in the middle of 2008.
